It's designed to help you get excited about your future, and to help you feel confident about making some of the most important decisions of your life.
It starts by helping you explore the most important things to think about. Next, it provides a free personal retirement plan showing what your life after work might look like and how far your money may go. You can plan on your own, or with a spouse or partner at no extra cost.
It'll then provide expert financial advice on how to make your plan a reality, ensuring you don't pay a penny more tax than you need to. It's entirely your decision whether to put your plan into action, but if you do decide to go ahead, we'll take care of all of the hard work needed to make your plan a reality.
Destination Retirement is available to people who are thinking of putting their retirement into action in the next 12 months, and who have any pensions, savings or investments of at least £10,000.
As with any investment, your capital is at risk. This means that your investments may go down as well as up and you may get back less than you invest.
Destination Retirement is split into five stages. You can dip out, and move forward at your own pace
We’ll start by taking you through the most important things to think about when planning for your life after work. This will help you on your journey through the service.
Next, we'll produce a free personal retirement plan. This will paint a picture of what your life after work could look like, and will show you how far your money may go. You can adjust the information you put in to see what impact it will have on your plan. You can do this as often as you like - free of charge.
Once you've got a plan you're happy with, we can provide expert financial advice on how to put it into action. We'll recommend the most suitable financial products, making sure you don't pay too much tax, lose valuable benefits, or pay unnecessary fees and charges.
If you're happy with our recommendation, we'll take care of all the hard work needed to set up your plan. We'll complete all the paperwork, and deal with the product providers on your behalf. If your plan includes an annuity, there will be an annuity arrangement fee to pay. There are no ongoing fees for an annuity.
Destination Retirement will monitor your plan, making sure it continues to meet your needs going forward. There are simple ongoing fees which cover ongoing advice, reviews and managing your investment. All the fees will be clearly explained before you make your decision to go ahead.
